JESUP – Kenneth S. Mealhow, 86 years old of Jesup, IA, died Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Ceder Valley Hospice House in Waterloo, IA.

Public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2026, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kenneth was born October 19, 1939, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Wilbur Mealhow and Bertha (Kroblin) Mealhow. He graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1958. On May 5, 1962, he was united in marriage to Carol Lynn Kroblin in Kirksville, MO. They made their home in Jesup and became active in the community. Carol preceded him in death in 2009. Kenneth retired from Deere and Company, Waterloo, in 1993. He started in their apprentice program after high school and became a draftsman and designer at the Product Engineering Center. He had many hobbies including, painting, gardening and growing flowers. He enjoyed being outdoors and taking care of his lawn. He and Carol also enjoyed volunteering at the Jesup Library and worked with the Arts in the Park organization. He was an avid Jesup J-Hawk fam and enjoyed sports in general. Spending time with his grandchildren was always a priority.

Kenneth is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Cynthia Mealhow of Jesup; three grandchildren, Andrea (Brad) Henderson of Jesup, Erica (Jesse) Havlik of Jesup, Rebecca (Forest) Blakesley of Waterloo; five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Isla and Naomi Henderson, Thomas and Henry Blakesley; also one sister, Fay (Bill) Venneman of Strawberry Point, IA.

In addition to his wife Carol, his parents; one great-grandson, Reed Havlik and one brother, Richard Mealhow, preceded him in death.
