Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. – Friday, August 7, 2026, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, with burial at Zion Lutheran – Jubilee Cemetery, rural La Porte City, IA. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2026, at White Funeral Home, Jesup. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be posted at www.White-MtHope.com. Grace Was born May 19, 1942, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Wilmer Seemann and Frances (Koob) Seemann. She graduated from high school in Jesup, IA, with the class of 1960. On April 29, 1962, she was united in marriage to Carlos Eugene Scott at Zion Lutheran Church-Jubilee, rural La Porte City, IA. Grace worked for Farmers State Saving Bank in Independence (now BankIowa) for many years as a bookkeeper before retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church-Jubilee. Carlos preceded her in death on April 3, 2011. Grace is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Mike) Winters of Jesup, Shelly (Bob) Auchampach of Northwood, IA, Sheila (Wes) Knutson of Jesup; 6 grandchildren, Layna (Jason) Tritch, Zak (Misty) Knutson, Jade (Andrew) Galvin, Luke Knutson (Andrea Martinson), Brock (Brenna) Winters, Bryce (Miranda) Winters; 9 great-grandchildren, Carter Tritch, Gretta Knutson, Bexley Tritch, Paisley Galvin, Morgan Galvin, Ellery Knutson, Blake Winters, Austin Galvin, Josie Winters; 2 sisters, Rachel Seemann of Jesup, Donna Gonsalves of Leland, NC; one brother-in-law, Oliver “Ollie” Pierce of Omaha, NE. In addition to her husband Carlos, she is preceded in death by her parents; 1 granddaughter, Amanda Mae Knutson; 1 great-grandson, Dylan Dean Tritch; 1 sister, Marian Pierce and 1 brother-in-law, Steven Gonsalves.
