Raymond – Ralph Theodore Weber, 92 years old, of Raymond, IA, died, Sunday, October 8, 2017, at his home of natural causes.

Ralph was born April 17, 1925, in rural Raymond, the son of Theodore Steven Weber and Anna Catherine (Wagner) Weber. He attended country school and became a carpenter. Ralph served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 17, 1954, he was united in marriage to Helen Theresa Ortner, at St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay, in rural Dunkerton, IA.

Ralph worked at Pint’s Quarry and then as a carpenter at Gardner Construction and Youngblut Construction. In later years, he was self employed. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Nugent – Demuth American Legion Post #714 in Gilbertville, IA. Ralph liked to play cards and spend time with his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were special to him.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Weber of Raymond; 5 sons, Russell Weber of Waterloo, IA, Richard Weber of Elk Run Heights, IA, Kenneth (Renee) Weber of Gilbertville, IA, Joseph (Lori) Weber of Ankeny, IA, and Francis Weber of Evansdale, IA; 2 daughters, Maureen Weber of Raymond, IA, and Margaret Weber of Waterloo, IA; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Harold Weber and Lloyd Weber; 6 sisters, Florence Wirtz, Evelyn Reuter, Marguerite Weber, Eileen Weber, Anna Weber, and Dorothy Ortner; and 1 granddaughter, Taylor Weber.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA with Fr. Henry Huber as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Raymond, IA. Military Rites will be conducted by Nugent – Demuth American Legion Post #714.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where there will be a parish rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Memorials will be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
