Hazleton – Charlene A. Gafford, 50 years old, of Hazleton, Iowa, died at her home on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.  She was born onAugust 23, 1966, in Sacramento, California, the daughter of Charles Melvin and Jane Ann (Metzger) Bowser.  She attended school in Ohio.  Before becoming disabled, she was a telemarketer fund raiser for the Policeman’s Association.  She was a member of the Calvary Evangelistic Center in Independence, Iowa.

Mrs. Gafford is survived by 1 daughter, Amanda Bowser of Waterloo, Iowa, 3 sons, Nathaniel Bowser of Oelwein, Iowa, and Dru Bowser and Michael Bowser, both of Hazleton, 1 granddaughter, and 1 brother, Stephen Bowser of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.  White Funeral Home of Independence is in charge of arrangements.
