White Funeral Home Independence – Lillian Clara Voshell, 88 years old of Independence, IA, and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Friday, August 19, 2016, at ABCM Rehabilitation Centers of Independence – East Campus. She was born June 6, 1928, the daughter of Joseph Bickert and Ida Mae (Butters) Bickert, near Littleton in Buchanan County, IA. On January 9, 1946, she was united in marriage to Alfred Burdette Voshell. He preceded her in death. Lillian enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking, and made many wedding cakes over the years. Lillian is survived by one son, Allan J. Voshell of Jesup; three daughters, Pam Skinner of Jesup, Cheryl Davis of Lime Springs, IA, and Mary Good of Jesup; also 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. – Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at the Littleton Cemetery at Littleton, IA. The family will greet friends at the cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. |
