Lamont – Clint A. "Bubba" Straw, 24 years old, of Lamont, Iowa, died on Monday, January 12, 2015, at his home.  He was born on June 3, 1990, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Paul Gordon and Sandra Kay (Schmitz) Straw.  He graduated from high school in Independence, Iowa, with the Class of 2008.  He worked for MJR Construction as a framer.  He enjoyed time spent fishing and playing golf.  He also was an accomplished Mixed Marshal Arts participant with several area clubs.

Clint is survived by his parents, Paul (Machelle) Straw of Marion, Iowa, and Sandra (Steve) McMurrin of Independence, 1 brother, Daniel (Megan) Straw of Independence, 1 sister, Jessica Faust of Independence, 1 half brother, Jordan Cornwell of Independence, 1 half sister, Paige Cornwell of Independence, 1 step grandmother, Patricia Schmitz of Tipton, Iowa, 4 nephews, and 1 niece.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Wolfey’s Wapsi Outback in Quasqueton with Rev. Kevin Jennings officiating.  Burial will be in Quasqueton Cemetery in Quasqueton.
