White Funeral Home Quasqueton - Marlon L. Holt, 57 years old, of Quasqueton, Iowa, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. He was born on March 4, 1957, in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Bill J. and Dixie (Destival) Holt. He graduated fromCentral High School in Waterloo, Iowa, with the Class of 1975. On November 26, 1986, he and the former Sharon Z. Bearbower were married in Waterloo, Iowa. Mr. Holt was a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local #405 and worked at Esco Electric in Cedar Rapids. In his free time, he enjoyed relaxing and fishing at their cabin in Harper’s Ferry. Mr. Holt is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sharon, 1 daughter, Megan (Nick) Kuker of Readlyn, Iowa, 1 son, Matt (Brittany) Holt, of Troy Mills, Iowa, 1 brother, Stan (Angie) Holt of Delhi, Iowa, his mother, Dixie Holt of Delhi, Iowa, and his step mother, Phyllis Holt of Independence, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, 1 brother, Roger Holt, his step father, Jim Elgas, his father-in-law, Bob Bearbower, and his mother-in-law, Loretta Bearbower. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014, at the Union Church in Quasqueton, Iowa. Burial will be in theQuasqueton Cemetery in Quasqueton, Iowa. Friends may call for visitation on Thursday, August 7th - from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the White Funeral Home inIndependence, Iowa. |
