Jesup – Margaret Marie Moellers, 86 years old of Jesup, IA, died Thursday, April 21, 2011, at East Towne Care Center, Independence, IA. She was born October 29, 1924, north of Jesup in Buchanan County, IA, the daughter of Louis Hanney and Anna (Ehr) Hanney. She graduated from Brandon High School, Brandon, IA, with the class of 1942. On November 7, 1949, she was united in marriage to Raymond Bernard Moellers in Jesup, IA. He preceded her in death. Margaret worked at Micro Switch in Independence and later, 23 years as a Psychiatric Aid at the Mental Health Institute in Independence. She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court of St. Pius X - #1714, both in Jesup.

Mrs. Moellers is survived by nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Catherine Moellers and Edna Hanney.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA, with Fr. Kenneth C. Stecher as celebrant. Music was by Monica Bengston, organist; Todd Rohlfsen, soloist; and the St. Athanasius Choir. Casket Bearers were Patrick L. Moellers, Sr., Mike Moellers, John M. Moellers, Patrick L. Moellers, Jr., Sylvin Moellers and John Moellers. Burial will be at St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Jesup. Memorials will be directed to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court of St. Pius X- #1714 in Jesup.
