Littleton – Denise K. Cole, 61 years old, of Littleton, Iowa, died at her home on January 21, 2020.  She was born on November 15, 1958, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Darwin Lane and Evelyn Delores (Miller) Cole.  She graduated from high school in Independence with the Class of 1977 and then attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo.  At the time of her death, she was employed at Building Products, Inc. in Evansdale, Iowa.  Ms. Cole was a hard worker who was always busy.  She helped friends work their farms and also enjoyed working her vegetable garden.  She canned her produce for later use.  She also was interested in horses and at one time, owned Arabian horses.

Ms. Cole is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Jim) Scott of Independence, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Karen Ann Cole.

As per Ms. Cole’s wishes, no services were held and her body was buried next to her parents in Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein.  White Funeral Home of Independence was in charge of arrangements.
