Brian White Honored for Excellence in Funeral Service Education
Spring 2009: White Funeral & Mt. Hope Cemetery: Iowa



DALLAS, TX - Brian White, of White Funeral Home, has been recognized for his excellence in funeral service education. White, son of John and Cindy White of Jesup, is a student at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He was inducted into the Epsilon chapter of the Pi Sigma Eta Honors Fraternity during a ceremony and reception in Dallas, TX. White was chosen for this selective honors fraternity based on his scholastic achievement and personal character.

“Brian’s professionalism and geniality with his fellow students has been manifested in his election as President of the Student Council of Dallas Institute and as Master Artist of the Epsilon Chapter of Pi Sigma Eta Scholastic Fraternity,” said President James Shoemake of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. “He is also an excellent student and always demonstrates a pleasant demeanor with others.”

White and his wife, Jackie, reside in Dallas, TX, as he attends mortuary college. Following commencement the couple will return to Buchanan County where Brian will serve his Funeral Director internship at White Funeral Home & Mt. Hope Cemetery.

White Funeral Home is in its 50th year of service to the communities of Eastern Iowa. With locations in Independence, Jesup, and Quasqueton, they provide compassionate funeral, cremation, and cemetery services to all faiths.

Pi Sigma Eta is the National Scholastic Funeral Service Fraternity and strives for the betterment, high morals, and ethics of modern funeral service. With chapters located throughout the nation, Dallas Institute of Funeral Service is home to the Epsilon chapter.
